Not a Moment too Soon

Water from the leaves drips onto the transparent puddle,

Rippling away until it stops - and waits for the next one.

The clock ticks away steadily,

Gently rocking the pendulum in a back and forth motion.

The purging waves slap on the sandy shore,

Dragging away some of the sand along with it.

Swirling wind touches the tip of the mountain,

Drifting away the dusty snow

A helicopter whirrs in the air,

Causing the grass to bow and stretch its tender arms

The babys hands gently clasp its mothers fingers,

As she gently rocks it back to sleep.
