Although I wrote this poem almost three-and-a half years ago, this poem is dedicated to both my cousin and her cat, Simba, who died last year.

Cat

Like a tiger she crawls,
Like a cheetah she sprawls.
She waves her tail like a dog,
And can see clearly through the fog.
Her green eyes shine at night,
She pounces at the mouse with might.
She hunts at dawn.
Like a lion she yawns...
And sleeps at my feet - warm.
