Spring
Birds' chirping in the blossomed park rings
like some long lost music in my ears.
Squirrels chasing and chatting with
one another like two old friends.
A bold, blunt raccoon quietly nibbling
away a part of what once was an apple.
The smell of barbeque is in the air,
interlocking with the fresh spring air.
A loud blare of rock music is heard, startling the birds.
As if I'm in a world of my own with nothing to worry about
I take a deep breath and close my eyes.
